Detroit Tigers History Through My Grandfather

William Williams's avatar William Williams

These three panels, painting in oil, constitute a triptich of the history of the Detroit Tigers Baseball Club in the lifetime of the artist's grandfather, 1894-1968. Stories from him about his interest in the Tigers inspired the objects that are included in the composition that will be bracketed together and displayed on free-standing panels that the artist will provide. The two side panels are 30 by 40 inches and the middle panel is 36 by 48 inches. The artist will provide a description during the exhibition that tells the significance of each item in the paintings. The canvases are "gallery wrapped" and are painted in a neutral color.
