The Burning Bush stands upon a pillar, its roots running deep. The iconic image of the Burning Bush from Exodus ch. 3; represents God's faithfulness and presence, even in the darkest times. This sculpture is filled with symbolism. Twelve Branches represent the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The 430 flame-like leaves represent a flame of jealousy kindled for Israel, one for each year of their persecution and captivity in Egypt. This sculpture serves as a reminder that God is still our deliverer; a brilliant light when there seems to be no hope; and a promise that we will not be forsaken.
