"EXPOSED: art lays bare"

This raw and edgy, beautiful and unsettling, and most of all thought-provoking short film takes just a few minutes to make its point. The best thing that Art can do is not to extrinsically beautify, embellish, and paint over our world. Rather, the best thing that Art can do is to peel away the outer layers to expose the intrinsic and natural beauty that is at the essence of nature and people. All of my favorite Art, in all mediums -- from painting to photography to poetry to filmmaking -- is Art that exposes the truth and lays bare the essential beauty that abounds in our world but has been covered up or crusted over. THAT'S the kind of Art that stays with me longest. And that's the message this short film makes with motion pictures, music and a new poem written by Clayton Boothe specifically for this installation. Take a few minutes to see it, and you'll be thinking about throughout ArtPrize and beyond.
