"Interiors" is comprised of 8 interrelated works, 5 are structures of interior spaces, constructed of bas relief tile rooms which are mounted in collage on a 3D armature. The rooms have the intimate details of human habitation; slightly abstract, slightly macabre, intriguing. There are five 3D structures and three 2.5D wall mounted bas relief collage. Altogether it is a small city block of interior spaces. At least one sculpture and one wall piece is abstract exterior landscape. The tiles are sculpted of stoneware clay, glazed and fired as flat tile, then assembled in mosaic collage. The configuration is versatile, the 3D works can be placed on pedestals in any shape, either 3x7 or 18" x 9' with the wall pieces behind or to the side. Can be in a corner or along a straight wall.
