Rain

Amarant Design Collective

The work of Amarant asks people to become the final, finishing element in an installation: by stepping into the piece, the individual becomes the focal point. Stated another way, the installation is centered on you, the viewer, and is built around the relationship you choose to have with it. "Rain" invites viewers to become a part of the composition by walking around, under, and through the installation, or by stopping to sit on the white bench provided. "Rain" began as a conversation about the pleasure of being a child outdoors in a summer rain, and that even as an adult there is comfort in being out in the rain. This installation seeks to capture and share the sense of calm of a gentle rain.
