The peacock on the recycle wall Metamorphosis

Raymond Trujillo's avatar Raymond Trujillo

Inspired by the Monarch butterflies from Michoacán Mexico, as an artist I want to highlight the methamorphosis of the monarch buterfly and the materials I had use to create these art piece. Both hold a message in the process of transformation from life an death. The monarch butterfly transform itself from a worm stage through a cacoon, preparing to become a beutiful butterfly. As an artist, I want to create the same process through recycled materials that I have used day by day. Transformed by molding and gluing them together creating a different stage, of an art form. Materials: egg shells, coffee grounds, cardboard, newspaper, glass, plastic bottles, Doritos snack bags; using flour, water and paint to hold them together.
