The working title for this piece has been The 5000 Portraits Project. The finished title is "All One, Many Names" This is an ink drawn collage on plastic medium, consisting of 1,600 tiles and over 5,000 portraits. The project stems from a dream "I was on an elevator with people form all over the world; everyone was looking up smiling. We all held hands and received a marvelous blessing". The project started as a reflection on that dream and became a meditation on our individuality and our connection. Most tiles (the last 1,000) have the prayer "May all beings enjoy happiness and the root of happiness. May all beings be free from suffering and the root of suffering" written on the back. What began for me, as a prayer that sounded lovely ended as a genuine call to action. I have worked on this project for over 13 years, finishing it in the summer of 2016. I would like to thank Grace for giving me the opportunity to create and display this project I am honored and excited to share it.
