A Taste of Heaven

We have all done it: stuck out our tongue to taste the falling snow. How old were you? Where were you? Who were you with? Each winter season, the first sight of snow sprinkling down excites children everywhere. "A Taste of Heaven" portrays a special moment in life. My goal as an artist is to visually tell a story, start a conversation, evoke an emotion, or maybe take a viewer back to a forgotten time. I try to depict everyday life traditions and activities. Therefore, my drawing, hopefully, will remind you of the joys of growing up. As an artist I have experimented in many mediums: oil, acrylic, clay, silver, and bronze. The medium I am most drawn to is the #2 lead pencil. I find the challenges stimulating, leading me to match this simple yet revealing art style with a simply pure moment in life. I used a padded tooled leather frame.
