The Fire Cycle

The Fire Cycle is designed with yarn and felt on canvas. It measures 7ft X 5ft framed. Much of the artwork is done with using a single whole puncher. Each tiny circle measures about a quarter inch. Over 2000 little circles were glued one by one. Combining with the felt and yarn, it gives depth, and also adds to the complete piece of art with character and uniqueness. The frame will be stained wood with white birch accents. The frame is still in production. To add a total realistic look to the "Fire Cycle" there will be a flameless fire and burnt wood, that will attract everyone to hear the story about the Upper Peninsula, The Duck Lake Fire. A slide show will educate the viewer, with the before and after images as I visited the 21,069 acres this summer.
