The Last Buffalo

Chad Zentz's avatar Chad Zentz

This piece is titled "The Last Buffalo". It depicts a Souix indian kneeling in reverence of a dead buffalo that was killed by white settlers and left to rot on the plains. This was a major problem for the Souix and other tribes. The buffalo were their main source of food, clothing, and shelter. The whites decimated the this vital resource because they had no respect for life or the Native Americans.
