When I was a little girl I found charcoal after a fire and started to draw trees, since it comes from burned trees. I was surprised with the result. From that time on I began creating more and more, using different mediums, learning different techniques, and even going to college for Art. I took a break from art after losing my husband to melanoma because I was unable to express such strong emotions. After a while I found some peace in the forest. Being in my 40s I always wanted to go back from the moment I began, and apply everything I learned. Then I could make a statement of the importance of preserving the environment. I am using shades, and lines to draw trees that I found during my walks in the forest. Just before I completed my drawing we had a huge storm at the beginning of August that uprooted and crashed a lot of old trees that have been there for the last 100 years. This made me see how powerful the forces of nature are. We should protect the nature and think about how to prevent global warning so we don't get extinct.
