This is a Neon sculpture from salvaged neon and a 1987 convertable BMW damaged red fender. The work is mounted on a 30” x 66” acriclic back drop that reflects the neon. Neon is red, green and white. The piece is about driving a classic car, green light to accerurate through the gears of a sports car and ‘negotiating’ a dangerours curve (reference Jan and Dean’s music of the 60’s). The piece weights approximately 120 lbs, and needs a standard 120 wall plug outlet for the neon . It is a light piece and is best for darker environment being good for projection through a window wall both night and day. The piece is an interior piece or a protected environment and is best during night hours with light projection for all night. Sketches and construction photos are exhibited with submission.
