Snapshots from Home

HOME: People ask why would you choose to live in Michigan? My quick response is because Michigan is home. Good, bad or indifferent the memories we experience here make this our home. Don't the bad winters just make you want to leave? Some would ask. The weather weary side of me sees the reasons behind wanting to leave due to bad winters, but where else can you be surrounded by so much life and beauty. Michigan is the best state to call home because one gets to experience all the highs and lows of life by experiencing its seasons. Each painting represents a seasonal snapshot of somewhere in Michigan and the memories they create. Without the good and the bad, without the sun with the clouds and thunderstorms, without the green grass and sandy beaches along with the bitterly cold and snowy winters it wouldn't feel like home. It is my hope the each panel evokes a memory for you. To remind you why you choose or have chosen Michigan as your home. (4 panel painting in Oil)
