(extra)ordinary

Candy color, daily objects and artificial paradise. I am obsessed with candy colors. They lead me to a childhood fantasy of mine and bring me to a paradise that only exists in cartoons. To me, American candy was a fantasy itself, and I could experience this fantasy by eating it. The act of eating candy meant eating colors, eating fantasy—and it was the only way to actualize my imagination. I try not to abandon things; the things around me, the things I already used, the things on the street. I pick up random things and start to observe them thoroughly with affection. While I try so hard to find their visual attractiveness and aesthetic value of them, they start to react gradually and show me their potential as something adorable, something valuable. Your ordinary, everyday belongings are my paradise.
