Surviving Michigan

Dan Wilder's avatar Dan Wilder

My piece, Surviving Michigan, showcases the four seasons of nature in Michigan. It is a 4 section frame with a photograph representing each season. The four photos I have chosen are: Winter - Point Betsie at sunrise; Spring - the melting snow sands of Grand Haven; Summer - Whitefish Point Shipwreck Ally; and Fall - the many colors of Pickerel Lake. I hand crafted the frame out of wild cherry. The photos are back lit with LED lights that change colors to represent the colors and moods that our great state provides. Overall I want to show my love of Michigan, and our ability to adapt and embrace the beauty that surrounds us. Hopefully you will see my vision and see how it is to live in our land of Great Lakes. Thanks, Dan
