With my studio facing Lake Michigan, the lake continuously surfaces in my work. The Fish Tail portraits are a fusion of aquatic wildlife and urban visual language. I use fluorescent colors, spray paint graffiti-style, and wet-on-wet watercolors to create playful patterns. Next, I tear silhouettes and layer them together. These are part of a larger "AQUA" series that can be found on my website www.rashelleroos.com.
