NGC 6415

Sarah Knill's avatar Sarah Knill

I am in awe of the nature of the universe, a seemingly infinite blooming expansiveness, originating from a singular common point. I am humbled by the connection between all things that this implies. Given the right perspective, these symmetries show up even across extreme shifts in scale, from microscopic to cosmic. I highlight the visual mutuality of such polarities. I enjoy experimenting in the studio with various versatile and flexible materials and document the results to use in my work. The images are bioorganic in nature, yet peculiarly unidentifiable, blurring the line even between fiction and reality.
