Finding What I wasn't Looking For

"Finding What I Wasn't Looking For" is an acrylic on canvas painting that developed as a result of questions I was asking myself while reading and thinking about such diverse topics as time and space, science, technology, human existence, coming to awareness, and self-knowledge. My creative muse began to appear repeatedly in a series of dreams I had, along with numbers, letters, symbols, shapes and images of space and time during this period - and so I began to incorporate these various elements into the painting. In the end, something totally unexpected was revealed to me, hence the title "Finding What I Wasn't Looking For". Viewers are invited to interpret the painting in their own way and to stimulate their subconscious by allowing the painting to lead them through its path.
