MIRROR ME MIRROR YOU

I'm sure you've heard the thought provoking saying - When a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise? Oh the debates on this subject, the viewpoints discussed facts versus theory. Fact: there is a tree. Fact: the tree is lying on the ground. Fact: the tree is not making a noise. Theory: when you see a tree fall and it makes a noise wouldn’t it still make that noise when you're not there? You'll never know. But, what you do know is that there are forests and in them, trees. Some standing & some lying on the ground, sometimes you're there to witness the moment sometimes you're not - still - the moment happens! What alters that moment for YOU is, were you there! Often, when I'm working on a piece of art and I want to provoke a mood or create a feel from the art, I take into consideration how the viewer might interpret what I've done. And this leads me to the realization that everyone brings their own point of view, their own mood, and their own feelings. So I created MIRROR ME MIRROR YOU to reflect each of you in my art. Fact: I make art (even when you’re not around). Fact: I put art work on display. Fact: you are here to view it. Theory: My art & your interpretation = our Moment.
