I Stand Alone, Broken Before You.

"I Stand Alone, Broken Before You" is done on three wood panels wrapped in copper. The Sycamore tree has always intrigued me. The size of the Sycamore and the heaviness of the bark at the base, which transitions into paper white smooth branches. This specific type of Sycamore seems to "stand alone", hence my reasoning for placing the tree in the center of my piece. I pondered and prayed about what this tree spoke. I felt God was reminding me that life involves standing alone and broken before him, and that nothing can separate us from his love as found in Romans 8:38-39.
