I do my artwork as my "therapy". Expressing joy, sadness or any other emotion, I use my canvas as my journal. The end product can be a portrait, landscape or abstract, yet what you don't see underneath the layers of color is laughter, tears, frustration, joy..and endless prayers of love, compassion and forgiveness. "The Last Act" is a portrait of Paul Lee, a Chicago magician. Paul was a great entertainer and touched many people's lives, including mine. He was a very dear friend that recently passed away. Three days after his passing I was inspired to make this painting and tho unfinished at the time, I brought it to the wake. It was with love and sadness that I made this painting. I am honored to have shared a moment in time with Paul Lee.
