Interconnected

In my work I confront negative emotions as a centerfold for social acceptance. I delve into deep conversations about what lies underneath every social encounter: self-doubt, oppression, anger, fear, and dejection. Sometimes my subjects are reflections of personal experiences and other times they are of strangers I’ve yet to meet. In the end, my work becomes more than just his or her problem; it becomes a foundation for affinity. From similar feelings of misfortune, we begin to connect similarities between each other through a mutual understanding. It is not until we share our greatest fears and struggles that we feel deeply linked to one another. Through sympathy and empathy individuals are capable of being instantly connected.
