Comet for Yesterday is a carved wood and welded steel free standing sculpture. Inspired by the lucky find of an odd chunk of walnut said to be 25 years old. Some thoughts: Almost 19th century, almost stellar, almost frozen, the battered comet, dreamed through blurred scope, labors along, chained to black space repeating and repeating a scarred tarantella.
