When I was a child in 1975, I had this newborn puppy that perfectly fitted on my hands. I used to play with him day and night. The puppy was like a baby to me and I could do everything carrying him to everywhere. One day, I closed my eyes and prayed to God. I asked him why the dogs couldn’t be like a child? Why they could not go to school, wear clothes, eat different kind of food and play with toys? Then, after forty years - my prayers became true. Today, dogs have much more than I dreamed about when I was young. This project is about the evolution and humanization of dogs that have been developed since a few years ago. Dogs were always well known as the men’s best friends. However, nowadays those best friends have much more to do than just being a companion for and care about their owners. They have an every day routine with obligations that includes going to the salon, to play date, to walk and to trainings. It seems fair; since human beings are the most evolved kind of animals in the world therefore should help and assist them in their process. Actually, humans should not only help dogs, but also all kind of animals in the world. I hope someday humans change from predator to protector of the animals. In this exhibition, I wanted to honor through my art all those wonderful “wannabe human beings” that are mutually learning from and teaching to people the true love. In addition, it is a way to support the animals’ right and give compassion to the humans that abuse them. Pets are sensitive, smart and full of love – they are in constantly evolution. I strongly believe that love and passion make dreams come true. On the other hand, art is a way to show different perspectives of the common sense. This is my art.
