Forensics & Ceremony

Forensics & Ceremony uses video and sound to illustrate a personal journey of settling rhetorical internal arguments through inner reflection and mindfulness rituals. You are encouraged to immerse yourself into this environment—to listen and watch at your own pace. Emotional focus, mental clarity and calm are elusive concepts to many people in modern society. Through the work of Forensics & Ceremony, I seek to create a space of mental contemplation where the viewer may find themselves in a ceremonious space before moving into a place of mindfulness and earthly grounding, vicariously through sound and light. This video installation offers the viewer an intimate escape from the outside world, as it is contained within its own dark environment. The video and sound are on a continuous loop from an almost 13 minute long experience.
