Eve and the Serpent

Eve and the Serpent is a celebration of curiosity. A humanist look at Eve and the Serpents' first meeting in the Garden of Eden. Eve gently stops the serpent underfoot, more curious observer than victim, she holds the power in the moment. The Serpent, startled, wraps himself around her leg and gazes upward into her eyes. We the viewer are witness to this moment of balance before the Fall. Eve has been cast in bronze at my foundry. She will be patinaed a warm golden brown, and will be standing in a bed of bright autumn colored leaves. She will be anchored to a small stone, and several leaves cast separate, will be blowing toward the viewer.
