The Storyteller

Made entirely out of black paper, The Storyteller is an accurate galactic coordinates map, with stars and constellations precisely placed according to their location in the sky. It encourages the viewer to consider the original inspiration for our stories; ideas of who we are and how we came to be all started with the sky. And we're still telling stories about it today, standing around the water cooler talking about planets made out of diamond, and joking about Pluto's demotion. We talk about the Mars Rover, and invite each other out to watch meteor showers. Constellations no longer hang over us as gods or signs of good and evil, but rather as stories of failures and victories. Satellites and space stations whiz overhead, no longer mysterious, but somehow still magical. The Storyteller is filled with details to lean in and search for, and plot lines to be uncovered.
