God Wastes Nothing

Melody Schmidt's avatar Melody Schmidt

God Wastes Nothing is a collection of four sketches, matted to form a tattered, weather beaten four pane window. Each sketch depicts a human challenge often pushing us to the verge of giving up, overshadowed by wonder for how our passionate, yet weary efforts truly matter. A somber child and adult silhouette gaze out the window, contemplating the four scenes with a restored hope in the differences we all can make. The child symbolizes an innocent understanding that life unfolds in a puzzling, often heart-wrenching manner toward a gradual understanding that in each one of our lives, every challenge, sacrifice, or effort brings the very strength only God's brilliantly intricate plan could ever construe for our unique journey. The greatest trials evolve into abundant blessings. All along, we had been fully equipped... but only under Divine terms...only visible once we realize our own journey's purpose has little to do with us. Every detail truly does matter because God wastes nothing.
