'Ecosystem' is a sculpture/installation. I often use animal figures within my work. This sculpture is expressing my admiration for the beautiful birds that survived the cold harsh winter. The tree form is made out of mild steel and is supposed to rust, symbolizing our sensitive ecosystem. The drilled holes symbolize the damage that the Emerald Ash Borer has done to so many beautiful trees in the area. The clouds are made out of aluminum and coated with paint and faux fur to give it a light fluffy effect.
