WaterWall

Lyn Godley's avatar Lyn Godley

24 individual 20" x 27" digital print/pastel drawing with embedded fiber optic lighting. All the images taken in the waters off the Bermuda coast, then digitally enhanced and printed on heavy water color paper. They are then hand drawn over in charcoal and pastels. Hundreds of fiber optic cables are threaded into each print and lit with LEDs. Just under 80,000 feet of fiber optic cables was used for this piece. All drawings are powered by 9 volt adaptors. This work is part of a larger body of work by Lyn Godley that is investigating the calming effect of particular wavelengths of light on the viewer.
