Nature has the unique ability to layer texture and tone to transform a landscape. Delicate rhythms and patterns create dynamic sculptural scenes. I utilize natural undyed fibers as a sculpting medium, inviting a dialogue between humans and the environment. My original technical processes present the viewer with deceptively gentle subject matter. Soft, richly layered landscapes of wool, silk, and cotton invite quiet contemplation, with an appreciation of nature's linear artistry through the structural element of tree branches. The creative process, the passage of time, and seasonal transformation are central themes of my sculptural weavings.
