Our 3-D ArtPrize entry “tReE" is a modern, stylized and interconnected tree sculpture, a sort of grove wherein the public can gather, where the light casts organic shadows throughout and creates a sense of peace. This sculptural arbor works with nature, using the sun's rays to project tiny prisms via hundreds of crystals, a moving, changing feature dependent on wind and light . Visitors have a place to rest on a live edge wood platform suspended from the middle beam. Sit a spell in tReE on the RiverWalk at the Amway Grand Plaza. Take a photo and tag it - we'd love to see your photos on Instagram and Twitter!

About Jess and Jax
Jessica Thome and Jackie Kalin have been working together for the past 20 years, after having met in a college art course. Operating as "The Artists Group," they provide design and art related services including large scale murals and commissioned pieces for homes and businesses. With an eye toward making an interactive sculpture (human, sunlight, wind), they designed and built tReE this summer. This is their first entry as a team in ArtPrize.
