'Exposed' is an illuminated, multimedia piece constructed from steel, LED lights, and fabric. The structure consists of a tapering spiral beam made of steel decorated with LED lights. We collaborated to create a large interactive art installation - a 30 foot spiral structure brilliantly lit with approximately 30,000 LED lights. Interaction from the audience via a website determines the way the LED lights animate. Beyond what is displayed is a story of "Wouldn't it be nice if..."'s that led to this amazing piece. Many things have changed since the initial inception of the project. Half of "Exposed" is the story of how it came to be and the community that made it all possible.

A core group of six artists supported by countless volunteers worked tirelessly to fabricate the intricate parts that make up the piece. Member skills include a diverse mix of electrical and mechanical engineering, design, welding, computer programming and social media. Together, we created a piece of artwork that none of us could have accomplished alone.
