The Wave (Miniature)

An historical artist by design, I feel everyone should be reminded of the past in order to measure where we are now. The Wave takes us back to the beginning of popular music (The first 50 years of radio) and celebrates how Americans set the bar---for many things---for electronic, and, the creative musical 'bar of the world. Follow the painting from the bottom up, 1920s through the 1970s, in newsprint and art and music history. See if you can find the changes in corresponding newsprint (underneath the transparent abstract painting and portrait---three layers deep in some areas) used as a canvas to achieve this style---real newspapers for five decades; 1920’s Art Deco, then abstract and modern, and finally the psychedelics of the 1960’s and 1970’s. Art should be fun. Thank you… Weston
