Semper Fi

“Semper Fidelis” (Always Faithful) was adopted as the motto of the United States Marine Corps in 1883. Since the birth of our beloved Corps (November 10, 1775) Marines have served our nation with unparalleled honor and uncommon valor. For well over a century, “Semper Fidelis” has evolved into more than our motto. These two words have become our ethos. It reflects the virtues that truly distinguish Marines. The shortened version, “Semper Fi”, is commonly used by Marines as a spirited greeting, a fond farewell, and a source of motivation. It provides a reminder of our vigilant faithfulness to God, Country, and Corps. “Semper Fi”, is my humble attempt to capture that spirit, while paying homage to all Marines, past, present, and future. Semper Fi.
