Nightmare

Jessica Ball's avatar Jessica Ball

I have always been drawn to a darker photographic aesthetic. Through this series of photographs I have recreated my nightmares, and given them objective form. I wanted to provoke the sense of disorientation and the sometimes childlike trepidation one feels when trapped in a nightmare. Each photograph represents a glimpse into one of my own personal nightmares, inviting the viewer to peek inside of my worst fears and to recognize the commonalities of human experience that people often share through their dreams. Work is still in progress, more images will be made in the coming months. I will have 3-8 framed photographs to hang, depending on the space available at the venue.
