Color Study

Sarah Imus's avatar Sarah Imus

These photographs were taken with a camera, not created with a computer. I shaped and molded my environment through the camera lens, 'painting' with color and light. Each photograph is not of a recognizable object or place, but an abstract image created with long exposure and controlled movement. Rather than telling viewers what to see, I dissolve the boundaries of traditional photography and provide an experience unique to each observer. The images mold to the viewer, giving each person an intimate observation based on individual life experience and mood. This study is an ongoing project.
