Contemplation with Expectations is an interactive entry created to include the visually impaired in the art world. It will consist of five pieces of work (acrylic & oil on wood panel). One of the pieces is a 10ft x 6ft 8in (120in x 80in) with the concept of contemplative prayer. This piece will include a poem in Braille directly on the picture plane, which will be meant to touch. The other two pieces will be 51" x 22". These pieces will include biblical scriptures in Braille and a finger labyrinth. The Braille to the left of the picture plane and the finger labyrinth to the right. All the Braille work will be created by hand with modeling clay, with the Braille dots being larger than normal Braille dots. The labyrinth design will also be created with modeling clay and perhaps some carving. This will be done in order to create raised and concaved walls of the labyrinth. This is necessary to easily guide the visually impaired finger through the labyrinth's path.
