In the dog house ( LuckyD0G )

"In the dog house" is probably one of the most challenging projects that I have ever attempted in a very short amount of time. After a year of looking, I finally chose 4 northern white cedar trees from my Aunt & Uncle's property near Peronville, Michigan. The trees were brought home and peeled with the aid of my children on August 9th- 36 days before the start of ARTprize. There are several means of access into the doghouse. The first, and easiest way to get in, is to be in a relationship and say something wrong. (!) One can also gain access through a small door on the passenger side of the head. The whole head also pivots open. Access can also be gained by lowering the bow of the boat and utilizing a hatch in the floor. Other features include hardwood oak flooring, poplar tongue and groove paneling, cedar shake roofing and siding made from re-recycled 1930s licence plates salvaged from a 75 year old chicken coop. The whole structure also acts as a boat lift/storage unit.
