Through Time: Michigan Mammals

Carly Sills's avatar Carly Sills

Mammals in Michigan have changed dramatically over the last few hundred years. While some mammals thrive with the ever-growing human presence, other mammals struggle to survive and their numbers continue to dwindle. Through Time: Michigan Mammals depicts the mammals of Michigan in their natural habitat through the use of ink and watercolor. By being asked to find particular mammals, viewers can engage with the piece and consider how the megafauna of Michigan have already changed, and how they will change in the future. *The piece consists of 2 paintings (the image appears to flow from one to the next) that will be displayed adjacent to one another.
