    Time-based, Urban Space Short List

FACING AL AQABA is a multimedia installation that will use photography, video, audio and audience interaction. The space we would prefer is one where we can mount a series of large photographic portraits of the men, women and children of the village of Al Aqaba, Palestine (approximately 30), printed on fabric, life-size, that will lead to a digital theater space. For the images, the ideal scenario will be to hang them from a ceiling grid in order to give viewers the opportunity to walk amongst and around the images. These portraits would lead to a digital theater contained within the installation where we would run on a continuous basis (during official show hours) a multimedia presentation. This production will involve a series of questions & scenarios, on video, posed to the audience by many of the people they saw in the hanging portraits. Based on the audience reactions, alternative responses will be presented on parallel screens.
