Jeffrey Bowman CustomArt's avatar Jeffrey Bowman CustomArt

Wood Burned image of Grand Rapids from the corner of Monroe Ave. at Fulton Street on a 4 ft. X 4 ft. birch panel anchored to a 3" X 1" frame The reference photo hangs where I work, Many stop and look at it. Some for the intrigue of a bygone era, for others actual memories. For me it was the cars. I've wanted to do this for a long time Artprize gave me a purpose to do this I chose to wood burn because it would reflect the rich sepia tones in the photographs of the day. it would also teach me the medium, The work in progress is shown in the thumbnails.
