Here is a collage of paintings of various mediums representing the essence of the Fulton Street Farmer's Market in Grand Rapids in 2012. The goal is to express the locavore interest, the purity, bounty and sanctity of local farming, the camaraderie of the vendors and market shoppers, and last but not least, the thread of community woven through the depicted identity. The beauty of fresh, in-season produce and the Animal Welfare Approved pasture based, sustainable farm is included within the collage, as both heirloom breeds and vegetables are cultivated here.
