Type; Sculpture/Installation Year of completion: 2013 Statement: The Transmaid cutting her own tail symbolizes the inner Dissatisfaction of one’s self and the search for identity. This desire for change is drastic and sometimes painful but it also transforms a longing into self-respect. Medium & Technique: The sculpture is made from 1500 wine bottle corks, 4000 wine capsules, 2500 champagne cages, insulation foam, recycled wood, and wire. Placed on a pedestal. Dimensions: Circumference: 10’ 4”; Height: 3’ 8” (excluding pedestal).
