Sand Patterns

I have been fascinated for many years with the interesting patterns left in the sand when the tide receeds from the beach. They are in many shapes and designs which I have tried to visualize and capture on paper. They are seen as if through a magnifying glass. Magnified sand and receeding rivelits become intricate designs in my vision. The result appears abstract yet depicts a unique moment in time for each grain of sand.
