Just Short of the Shore

Just Short of the Shore (Saturn) is a piece about oppression. The rich oppressing the poor, the powerful oppressing the weak, the state oppressing the citizenry. Oppression in all it's forms. Four armless bronze figures sit in an abstracted wooden boat/ribcage form, helpless as to their situation; but weathering the storm. The piece references autobiographical elements, Biblical stories, Roman mythology, and the slave trade as it seeks to bring a new degree of understanding to the choices we make and how they affect the people around us.
