Rush Docks

"Rush Docks" was inspired by the way water weathers and warps harbor docks over time. Disposed cedar fences from a nearby loading dock add an industrial quality giving a hint to the hard work our great cities and harbors have endured. The process of creating "Rush Docks" I call "Fence Forming." it's stacking multiple same dimension cedar fences into unimaginable structural forms. The viewer should feel the weight and pressure of the work but recognize the movement of the material and appreciate the organized euphoria of the piece.
