Flight on the Plains

Flight on the Plains depicts one of the most visually recognizable symbols of the American west, the pronghorn antelope. The sculpture is made of recycled steel rebar and finished with enamel paint. The rebar creates lines of both gesture and contour, allowing for a unique interaction of line and space from all angles. My inspiration was drawn after viewing pronghorn in the wild for the first time last year. I was struck by their speed and beauty and it was my goal to capture those qualities in my artwork. www.joekrajkiewcz.com
