Life is an inspiration for everything an artist does in his or her's body of work. In this life, it is not hard to imagine how we have devastated our world and people through violence and consumption. This project is a direct reflection of how I have evolved as a person attempting to understand the world around me, and try to savor what I have been gifted. I have seen the affects of war, and I have been through life that has been and continues to be challenging. Knowing that what I leave behind has an impact on the people after I am gone. "Vita" represents what we have been given (life) and how we are destroying it. We all have been given life. We have used and misused it and has led to death of this world and people in it. We are one people and one world. We all have the power through expression and through action to leave a world for our children and their children that is free and open to all life; without the use of violence. Vitam aut mortem? It's our choice.
