Fountain Street Church is a beautiful, historic, downtown landmark. The Fountain Street Church Art Committee manages seven exhibitions each year, one of which is dedicated to ArtPrize. The Church has been an ArtPrize venue since the first event in 2009. In addition to works by ArtPrize artists, the stunning art and architecture of the Church sanctuary attracts many visitors. Located at 24 Fountain Street, the Church is just three blocks north of the ArtPrize HUB and near other important venues such as Kendall College of Art and Design and the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Once again, Fountain Street Church and the ACLU of Michigan will present an important ArtPrize venue that explores issues of social justice through artwork that demands basic human needs be met, diversity respected, and freedom of expression and action fostered.
